    With effect from 01 August 2017, the Germany Visa Application Centre in Colombo will accept applicants without appointments only between 8.00 to 11.00 (Monday-Friday except declared holidays).

    Applicants without appointments will not be accepted between 11.00 to 14.00 (Monday-Thursday except declared holidays) and between 11.00 to 12.00 on Friday.

    Important Notice: New application procedures from 02 November 2015

    All diplomatic and consular Schengen missions in India will introduce Visa Information System (VIS) on 02 November 2015. This System enables better data exchange between all Schengen member states. VIS eases application procedures and improves security. Since 2011 VIS is already established in most of 23 regions worldwide. By the end of 2015 all visa sections of Schengen countries worldwide will be equipped with VIS.

    Holiday Notice-17 August 2015

    The German visa application centers in Colombo and Jaffna will be closed on 17 August 2015 due to the Holiday declared by the German Embassy.
